Set during the Salem witch trials of the 1690s, “The Crucible” is a timeless parable of morality, where the accusations of witchcraft by the young girls of Salem spin out of control and quickly become a game of life or death.

“The Crucible is an American classic that is as relevant today as it was when Miller first penned it,” said director Tim Matheny, an 51Թ assistant professor of theatre.

“It is a story that needs to be told, and I am proud to join my fellow colleagues and students in bringing it to the 51Թ stage,” Matheny added.
