51³Ō¹Ļās College of Education announces Robichaux-Davis as assistant dean

STARKVILLE, Miss.āRebecca Robichaux-Davis, a Mississippi State professor with a wealth of experience in both K-12 and higher education, is now serving as assistant dean of 51³Ō¹Ļās College of Education.
Robichaux-Davis has served as an elementary and middle-level mathematics education faculty member in 51³Ō¹Ļās Department of Teacher Education and Leadership since 2007. In her new role, she works with accreditation, assessment, undergraduate and graduate academic programs and recruitment.
āAs we continue to build on the College of Educationās legacy of excellence, Dr. Robichaux-Davis brings a combination of leadership, expertise and vision to her new role,ā said Teresa Jayroe, dean of the College of Education. āHer extensive background in education and her commitment to fostering innovation and collaboration make her an invaluable asset to our college and to the university as a whole.ā

Among her many achievements, Robichaux-Davis is a Southeastern Conference Academic Leadership Development Program Fellow, a member of the David Carlisle Hull Faculty Leadership Class, and a past recipient of the College of Educationās Clyde Muse Service Award and Lucinda Rose Outstanding Teacher Award. She has authored or been cited in numerous presentations and publications and has had more than $7 million in external proposals funded. She served as the faculty director of 51³Ō¹Ļās Quality Enhancement Plan: Bulldog Experience and two terms as the Robert Holland Faculty Senate President.

Prior to 51³Ō¹Ļ, Robichaux-Davis was a research fellow at Auburn University and an independent mathematics education consultant. Upon completion of her doctoral studies, she taught at Southeastern Louisiana University after serving as a middle school math and science teacher and as a secondary math and computer science teacher. She holds a bachelorās degree in secondary mathematics education from Nicholls State University, masterās in mathematics education from Louisiana State University, and masterās in applied mathematics and doctorate in mathematics education from Auburn University.
