Emmie Perkins, a senior communication/public relations major from Hattiesburg, waves to the crowd in Bettersworth Auditorium after being crowned Miss 51³Ô¹Ï on Friday [Oct. 22]. As winner of the 62nd annual Miss 51³Ô¹Ï scholarship competition, Perkins will receive a full-tuition scholarship and compete in the Miss Mississippi Pageant. Also placing in Miss 51³Ô¹Ï are first runner-up Gracie Anello, a senior geoscience/professional meteorology major from Roswell, Georgia; second runner-up Mary Hulbert, a senior business administration/foreign language double major from Lucedale; and Camille Green, a senior wildlife, fisheries and aquaculture major from Purvis. .
